Hunger & Thirst is a chilling novel about loneliness, belonging and female friendship. In 1987, 16-year-old Ursula, traumatised by childhood and the care system, joins a squat where charismatic Sue dares her into a terrible act that haunts her for decades. Thirty-six years later, living anonymously as a celebrated sculptor, Ursula is exposed by a true crime documentary, forcing her to confront whether the real monsters lie within or beyond.
